HOCKEY ALBERTA TO ELIMINATE BODY CHECKING FROM ALL CATEGORIES OF PEEWEE
HOCKEY ALBERTA TO ELIMINATE BODY CHECKING FROM ALL CATEGORIES OF PEEWEE
Hockey Alberta, acting on a decision made by its Board of Directors, is eliminating body checking from the Peewee division beginning in the 2013-14 season
Starting next season, the rules of play for the Atom age category will also apply to the Peewee age division. There will be no body checking in all categories of Peewee hockey, and there will be a penalty assessed for players who body check. Coaches will still be required to take the Checking Skills Program in Peewee and encouraged to teach safe checking skills in a practice environment.

Hockey Camps in Cold Lake
STS Hockey has visited over 30 different communities since our inception in 2006. In many smaller communities players participate in outside hockey programs which is costly and time consuming. This is one of the main reasons we bring our first class programs to areas like Cold Lake because we believe every hockey player regardless of their skill set or level of play deserves High Performance instruction. Shoot to Score Hockey is simply providing your members another option in developing your hockey players.
August 19-23 - Professional Skill Development CampAges 6-14
These camps are designed to do exactly what EVERY player needs regardless of their level of play and that is improve their skill set. Power skating, puck control, passing, and shooting are the main focuses of this program.

August 19-22 - Prep CampBirth year 99 and older
GET READY TO MAKE THE SQUAD!! This program prepares players for their up coming try-outs/camps/season with 8 hours of on-ice training. Each on-ice session consists of high tempo drills, battling, conditioning, and game like competition. Each camp is only taking 24 skaters and 4 goalies per group.

ECAFHL Champions

This season has been an awesome one for our Lakeland Atom Jaguars!
The Girls beat Vermilion Tigers in two straight to put us into the next round of playoffs. On March 9th, the Lakeland Jaguars Battled hard in game 1 for league champs, they tied up the game in the third period and ended up playing a 10 minute sudden death overtime followed by another 20 minute sudden death to proceed into a shoot out where Ali Macaulay scored our winning goal making the series 1-0 for Lakeland Jaguars. On March 10 we had our 2nd game at home in the RJ where the girls fires burned for victory! The girls battled and won game 2 at home in their barn, 3-1! It was 2 phenomenal games of hockey!
The Atom Jaguars have worked hard all season and to receive the League Champs Banner solidified all the hard work of the Parents, Coaches and of course the 13 players that have given their hearts to this team!
Thank you to everyone for an amazing season!
